Rainbow Week 2016
Each year, Round Square runs Rainbow Week, a week to celebrate the end of the year, promote the Round Square IDEALS (Internationalism, Democracy, Adventure, Leadership and Service) in the school, and showcase the talents and hard work of our students.
Throughout this year's Rainbow Week, we’ve had contributions from across the school including Taiko performances and workshops, Indian dancing, committee stalls, a teacher-student trivia, a handball tournament, henna artwork and of course the annual Friday lunch time rave!
We’ve once again been selling our iconic Rainbow Week badges, this year with three designs to choose from. Each year we purchase badges made by women who have, or have children with, HIV/AIDS. This year we are also donating an extra percentage of our funds towards the organisation who coordinates the making of these badges, Kidzpositive.
This year’s Rainbow Week has been a huge success, and that’s largely thanks to the way the whole school community has gotten excited and involved in the activities whether it be buying a badge or playing Taiko. Thank you for your support of Rainbow Week and Round Square, we hope you enjoyed the week!
A particular thank you to the Art and Design Committee, Dance, Drama and Entertainment Committee, Student Representative Council and Ms Skepper’s Entertainment class for all your assistance with a brilliant week.
