On Wednesday 9 November, Year 4 held a Parent Learning Event. We all had so much fun, our parents came into our class room and we showed them some of the great work we’ve been doing. There were lots of things to show our parents including Art, Mandarin, English, Writing, Spelling and our Collaborative Learning Projects (CLP). Our mums and dads were shown our learning by using their eyes, reading, or listening to something.
One thing we showed them was our Voice thread which is a website where you can create your own video and other people can comment on it. We also shared our persuasive text about ‘Why adults should listen to children more often’. Another very fun thing we did was a game in Chinese, where you had to connect the pinyin (Chinese pronunciation) to the corresponding characters.
We felt very proud of our work, we thought our parents could learn lots of things and we were so glad that they came.
