At MLC School we provide a number of opportunities beyond the classroom for students to receive a little extra support with their studies.
Homework Club provides Senior School students with a quiet place in the school library to get help with MLC School homework. It gives an extra level of assistance for girls who need help or want to get ahead in their work and offers students a way to seek assistance themselves.
Maths mentoring is an opportunity for younger students in the Senior School to work with volunteer mentors from Year 11 and Year 12 and benefit from one to one support to improve their understanding of a specific concept and/or a related mathematical skill. Students needing assistance will attend for one session or a small number of sessions until their issue has been resolved, and a mathematics teacher is always in attendance to support the mentors.
